Shake Hands With The Devil:
I found the movie a bit disturbing because i was exposed to something i have never seen before. It was very intimidating watching Romeo Dallaire brace the odds, and i couldn't help but stare. The man seemed absolutely insane! He was staying in a country that had a genocide going on, and he still managed to keep his calm! Well, at least until closer to the end where he began cutting himself but that's totally reasonable. I mean, he sees the people he is trying to save being killed everyday, i think you'd eventually grab the stake knife from your plate and take a chunk out of your body.
But i couldn't understand why he stayed. Afterall it wasn't his duty to stay; because all the troups had been ordered back a long time ago, in fact he was disobaying a direct order! He chose to stay back when he had been told directly to return home with his troups but he DIDN'T and that makes me go "wow, you're out of your mind" or, "if everyone took responsibility for their actions, i'm sure the world would be a WAY better place."
